| Ok guys, first of all, It has been 4 years since my last Z and I'm excited to say that I'm back!! =) I just got a decent 2+2 5spd with a JDM TT swap to get me back in it. It sat for a while and I started working on it today. It had low crank start, low idle about to stall at times, and a huge exhaust leak that I hate smelling so bad. Here's what I did today on it: I changed out the fuel filter (disgusting old and bad gas)
Cleaned maf
Cleaned tbs
Put half tank of new gas After all of that, car starts right up and idles more solid. It's a bit high on the 1100 range but doesn't hunt or anything. Maybe a sound of slight misfire here and there. I'm ordering ngk plugs soon. Just hate the exhaust leak smell. Drives solid and great. Here's my question. When I got it, it had noticeable smoke at idle. Nothing clouds or anything exaggerated. But noticeable. Also increases when revving up. After all the work I did today, still does the same thing. I'm afraid that the turbo seals are going bad since it sat for so long but I am not sure. I mean, its not big clouds of smoke. Just noticeable collection when revving. I'll try to drive it around some more tomorrow and step on it a bit to clear up all the build up from sitting so long. Any suggestions?
